Job Description

The Data and Visualization Analyst for RIT Certified will guide the design and management of the division's data infrastructure and ecosystem. The position will be responsible for the translation of data into expert recommendations that help shape our assessment of student learning, pipeline, production, business development, marketing, and other efforts. This position will support the development of metrics and produce insights to help assist the organization in all areas of the business. You'll use and grow your excellent collaboration skills to translate business questions into data questions. Using technical expertise and deep understanding of modern business intelligence, data science technologies, methods and tools, you will be working alone or with multi-disciplinary team members reporting, analyzing and assuring data quality to uncover useful information for RIT Certified.

In addition, this position will assist in providing data extraction, quality control, descriptive statistical analysis, data visualization and communication support for prospect and student information data in support of planning and institutional reporting. A primary function of the role will also be ensuring the centralization, cleaning, and preparing RIT Certified internal business data across multiple platforms in a data warehouse to facilitate business decision-making. The Data and visualization Analyst will also be responsible for managing Business Intelligence tools that facilitate more accurate and automated reporting and analysis. The role will be responsible for providing support (documentation, training, coaching) for cross-functional team members engaged in reporting and analysis.

  • 1-2 years' experience in data analytics, information management, or decision support
  • 1-2 years of experience in designing and authoring reports/dashboards using is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in querying, cleaning and transforming large data sets and complex data structures
  • Familiarity with statistical programming or other programming language
  • Prior experience with Data Science languages like Python, and/or R is highly desirable
  • Advanced experience working with analytics models like multi-touch attribution (MTA), workforce optimization, forecasting, lead scoring, customer retention etc.
